About Us
Oakview Family Practice was founded by Dr Helen Tattersfield in 1994, and moved to it's current purpose built site opposite Shroffold Green in spring 1996.
From small beginings it has grown to be a highly regarded flourishing practice offering a wide range of services with friendly and professional staff.
As its name implies Oakview is family orientated looking after our patients from conception to we hope a healthy retirement and all the stages in between. Supporting this we offer weekly Baby Clinic , Counselling, Dietary Advice, Family Planning and all the usual Nursing Services. In normal times we also have 15 minutes length appointments as routine and provide a 24hrs Repeat Prescription service, on-line appointment booking and full disabled access.
In addition we are investing in the future by training the next generation of GPs and aiming to improve local health care services by being fully involved in the new GP Commissioning Organisation.
"We aim to provide high quality medical care while maintaining the traditional personal care of the family doctor in a friendly & safe environment promoting health by education and preventative measures. We are dedicated to ensuring all practice staff and doctors are trained to the highest level and are happy in their work."
