Ways to book
Our reception team will still be answering the phones and you will be able to book appointments with them but if you use an online service you will avoid needing to queue on the telephone and will keep lines free for those who do not have internet or who need immediate help. You can also choose what time to put in your request at a convenient time knowing it will be dealt with that day.
It will help us make sure everyone who is trying to get help and support get it by the right person at the right time.
Telephone consultations
All appointments currently are initially telephone consultations. Please note due to the nature of medical consultations the doctor may ring earlier or later than the time you may have booked your appointment for. Please do try to answer the call (which may be number withheld) as if the doctor has to call repeatedly this reduces the time available for them to actually help patients. If the doctor has tried to call you unsuccessfully you will receive a text to advise you of this.
Nurse appointments
In order to give the correct length of appointment, you will be asked the reason for your request, for example some breathing checks and diabetes reviews will require double appointments.
To ensure the correct appointment length is allocated it is not possible to book nursing appointments on-line.
Sickness certificates (fit notes)
You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home visits
Home visits are only made for patients who are housebound or are too ill to come to the surgery.
Home visits are very time consuming so, if you can, always come to the surgery where your doctor has access to the full range of medical facilities.
However, if you feel you do need a home visit then please ring the surgery before 10.30am to enable the doctor to plan his/her rounds.
Request proxy access
Proxy access is a secure way to use one or more health services for someone else, for example to:
- book appointments
- order prescriptions
- speak to surgery staff
- get information like test results from medical records
Change or cancel an appointment
Please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.
Lateness
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late you will NOT be seen
This is calculated: 5 minutes late + 5 minutes grace = 10 minutes. This is to ensure best access for all our patients.
To cancel your appointment:
- Use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- Cancel using our online system
- Phone us on 020 8695 6677
- Reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
